Rumster Forest Shelter Refurbishment

Summary of idea

We have an old generator shed which is roofless. We wish to re-roof and floor, plus fit a secure door so we can store materials on site for outdoor activities. We already have installed composing toilets and plan to have an outdoor kitchen and a shelter such as a Yurt for overnight activities. We will have better use of the faculties we provide, for example we have to check the toilets regularly for cleanlinesses and for emptying of the waste. An on site store would greatly help with this.

Why the contribution is important

Each application for this fund is to meet the criteria set out by the project Steering Group. More information about the project and the Steering Group is available here. 

The idea will support the following broad theme(s) to make a difference locally:

  • Safety and wellbeing - including mental health: Making sure that everyone in Caithness has the chance to lead safe, healthy, active lives.

 

How to vote
