Prevention to help support young people and increase hope for the future
Problem: We know there are problems in our community that make our neighbourhood feel unsafe. These include anti social behaviour, drugs, alcohol, risk taking and poverty.
Solution: People who face challenges need access to specialist support. Children and young people need prevention work to help us make positive decisions and have hope for the future.
This is where this idea came from.
This idea relates to the United Nations Convention on The Rights of The Child:
- Right to be safe
- Right to be heard and taken seriously.
Why the contribution is important
Anti social behaviour / drugs / alcohol / crime / risk taking behaviour.
Poverty.
Increase access to specialist support services locally.
Increase police presence to reduce anti-social behaviour.
If we get it right for children the problems will stop.

Needles.
Noisy 'junkies' live near by.
'Junkie Forrest' - the nature reserve.
People shouldn't sell drugs to children.
Going out - always warned to be safe.
We shouldn't be seeing this.
